The Onboarding Team helps to create a timely and positive experience for JP Morgan's new hires through effective management of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) pre-screening and new hire preparation process. The Manager will be responsible for a local team aligned to EMEA HR Service Delivery and Global Onboarding. The EMEA Onboarding Team is responsible for:
Maintaining a centre of excellence enabling a consistent, best in class joining J.P. Morgan experience for new hires
Delivering economies of scale & efficiencies across the Onboarding function
Balancing requirements to handle peak hiring periods
Oversee team of Onboarding specialists responsible for delivering the new hire experience:
Managing end-to-end onboarding experience for new hires and ensures transactions are completed in a timely manner with high level of accuracy and positive candidate experience
Stakeholder management of new hire progress by ensuring Recruiters and Hiring Managers are made aware of any issues, including impact to start date.
Advising the new hire of all pre-employment screening and compliance requirements and addressing new hire inquiries
Prepare, maintain, archive pre-screening files
Verifying immigration and tax compliance in the screening process
Maintaining a deep familiarity with HR policy and standards and apply risk and control mind-set when onboarding employees.
Contribute to key functional reporting and ensure thorough documentation to manage and measure team performance (standardized operating procedures, process flows, quality audits, capacity planning, etc.).
Identify opportunities to improve, simplify and standardize processes; execute metrics-driven solutions.
Demonstrate controlled hiring process through audits and checks with use of HR and vendor applications.
Perform and provide root cause analysis on any escalations and effectively collaborate with Recruiting Teams, Global Security, screening vendor, technology and other key stakeholders to ensure resolution to issues and prevention going forward.
Contribute and lead regional and global initiatives on behalf of the function.
Proven team management experience in coaching, team administration, staff development / career progression.
Experience in operations management including workflow assignment and oversight, capacity planning.
Experience in project management, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
Strong knowledge in analysing data, use of Excel (i.e. data manipulation, macros, vlookups, array formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint/Access.
Excellent verbal and written communication and co-ordination skills, customer service- and solutions-oriented
Self-starter able to prioritize key tasks effectively.
Knowledge of background screening processes, recruitment or human resources a plus.
Additional language skills a plus.
