The Requirements Join us in Edinburgh as a Stress Testing Manager
Working within the Financial Planning & Analysis team in Finance, this offers an opportunity to make an impact by delivering improvements to our stress testing reporting capabilities
We'll look to you to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across finance, risk, treasury and franchise teams, supporting a collaborative and efficient operating model
Working on one of the most high focus areas for the bank, you'll be delivering full and accurate financial information which is both insightful and high profile
What you'll do
You'll lead a team in managing and controlling data inputs to the stress testing process, working closely with other teams across the bank to make sure that data is managed as efficiently and effectively as possible. We'll look to you to support the delivery of regulatory stress deliverables to the Prudential Regulation Authority and European Banking Authority, and all internal stress reporting deliverables.
This will also involve:
Driving process efficiency and effectiveness through Oracle PBCS automation and enhancements
Managing and controlling data inputs to the stress reporting process, ensuring consistency of reporting across base and stress processes
Understanding and resolving any gaps that exist within the current reporting process
Managing the production of detailed stress reporting briefing packs for submission to various boards and committees
Leading a small team of finance professionals
Support the delivery of any changes required to our processes, systems or controls when new stress reporting requirements are implemented
The skills you'll need
We're looking for a qualified accountant with a willingness to learn about regulatory reporting concepts, and the linkages of regulatory reporting across other areas of Finance and the bank. You'll have a history of producing accurate, high quality work to firm deadlines, and be able to lead others in doing the same.
Along with this, you'll also demonstrate:
Experience of working to tight deadlines and managing senior stakeholders
Strong numerical and analytical skills, and an inquisitive mind to investigate issues
Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with Oracle PBCS an advantage
Strong communication skills, with the ability to identify, build and enhance key relationships
An appreciation of the approach to model development
