Role Summary: You will be responsible for supporting the high management for Group Communications with designing the Branding and Merchandising business strategy, and the implementation of Branding and Merchandising strategy within local and international QNB branches. The incumbent will lead the initiative to develop the branding/ rebranding strategy, translate it into implementation steps, and direct the team to execute it while ensuring compliance of branding with QNB's communication strategy.
Role Description: Institutionalize organization-wide programs to promote culture of continuous improvement & innovation. Foster a climate that challenges others to think laterally and generate fresh perspectives and new opportunities. Communicate with diverse stakeholders within and beyond the organization through impactful communication. Communicate QNB's communication strategy in a manner which is clear, fluent, to the point which holds the audience attention in group or one to one situation making long lasting positive impression on audience. Set the short, medium, and long term strategy objectives for the Branding and Merchandising function. Update the Branding and Merchandising strategy to reflect QNB's vision and mission. Discuss with and set the guideline for the Brand Strategy Developer to design and structure the Branding and Merchandising strategy. Highlight where needed on branding characteristics to be adopted within international markets. Conduct tactical branding & ensure a strong brand presence leading to increased business in the local and international markets. Ensure that the image delivered is an accurate reflection of the Bank's communications strategy and in compliance with the set guidelines within local and international branches. Ensure brand distribution across QNB branches and subsidiaries; both locally and internationally. Oversee the compliance of all materials with the main Corporate Identity (CI) guidelines. Supervise the production and publication of branding materials to guarantee consistency with the set guidelines for all signage, fascia images, advertising and event setup materials. Direct the branding strategy towards client acquisition and retention, revenue generation, advertising, promotion and brand building activities. Oversee the implementation of print works and branding materials in branches by following up with the merchandising function on the status of old and new branches. Filter, in coordination with the Brand and CI guidelines function, the cultural impact on branding within international markets. Establish working relationships with suppliers to achieve the best possible cost, delivery and service. Deal with research firms to receive reports and information on consumer trends and QNB's image in the local and international market. Build on results of QNB's image in the local and international market to amend branding and better position QNB among its competitors. Utilize all resources, mass communication tools, and brand evaluator programs/ software to gain a better insight of QNB's position in local and international markets. Develop and manage a strong team both locally and internationally to best serve QNB branches' needs on a continuous basis. Develop and maintain Business Relations with branches as well as with Advertising and PR sections when needed. Create and contribute in building organizational vision, mission & values, and align the Bank towards the same. Ensure that the organization is moving forward with stretched objectives. Empower people at all levels to take appropriate decisions. Understand the integration of Divisional plans and support Departmental plans. Establish targets and designs systems to fulfil the strategic objectives & Mission of the Bank. Represent the Group in seminars and conferences to reflect Group's image and Industry.
Qualifications: University graduate with a degree in Business Marketing or Advertising, or related discipline. Minimum of 15 years of experience in marketing, brand management and advertising preferably in the Banking industry; with at least 4 years managerial capacity within a certain function.
