This intern will have the exciting opportunity to support SVB in monitoring our debt relationships and in helping provide comprehensive, industry-tailored banking solutions for our clients.
Under supervision of senior team members, the intern's primary responsibilities include:
Researching certain underwriting criteria in partnership with senior bankers
Resolving compliance-related questions and inquires in addition to covenant compliance testing
Handling a variety of credit documentation requirements in addition to reviewing noncompliance and past due status for assigned portfolio
Reviewing financial information, collateral and other assets to assess portfolio risk and profitability
Collaborating and working effectively with all areas of the bank
Standard reporting and CRM database
Market penetration and product cross sell analysis
Candidates must be students currently enrolled in a college/university (minimum requirement)
Open to all majors (finance, accounting, or economics preferred)
Open to both undergrad or master's level students
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred: Candidates should have work or academic experience with basic accounting, finance, mathematics, and/or computer science
