Responsibilities Research Leads will work with Research Directors andResearch Engineers and conduct primary end-to-end research typicallywithin a specialized focus area. They might work on multiple researchinitiatives and projects both internally at JP Morgan and in collaboration withexternal researchers such as universities. They are expected to write code,build prototypes and models, run experiments & synthesize results. Theywill also work with the firm's engineering & data teams to develop thehardware and data infrastructure for research work.
Master's or advanced (PhD) degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or science & engineering
Experience in conducting original research at relevant academic, industry or government research institution
Proven record of publication at prominent conferences or journals
Experience with hands-on projects, designing experiments and implementing prototypes and proofs-of-concept
Programming skills (e.g., Python, C++ or Java)
Experience with ML platforms such as Tensorflow, PyTorch etc. a bonus
Curiosity and creativity
Effective communication skills
Demonstrable ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
Collaborative mindset and working style
