Market Job Description
About the Role
The Role is to support and assist the Trading desks on Risk analytics and P&L for Rates, FX and Treasury.
Provide the Front Office with accurate and up to date pricing environment to insure that all the trades are pricing correctly across relevant trading desks. Work closely with traders, technology and quants to ensure that all valuations models are correctly implemented and maintained on a daily basis.
Take the ownership of Market Data Analysis, integrity and procedure. Ensure that all Market data comply with the requirements and parameters set by Market Risk. Work closely with the Front Office on periodic calibration of input such as Volatility Surfaces for Cap/Floor or Swaptions, Compile Market Data, build and improve, when needed, the forecast and discount curves. Ensure that daily market quotes are up to date and saved on a daily basis.
Provide the Front Office with accurate and consistent daily Risk reports and FX exposure reflecting positions and Market condition. Work on details risk analysis tools to explain all risk components along the curves and the volatility surfaces regarding the Greeks.
Generate daily P&L by two methodologies such as revaluation and sensitivity methods. Understanding of the P&L attribution and reconciling the P&L with product control department while explaining the details of the P&L trade by trade if asked by the desks. Ensure Cash flow reconciliation.
Liaise with IT and other departments to insure all change projects and ad-hoc projects required to improve our business procedures are conducted to meet the setup deadline.
Ensure day to day task including Exchange trades processing and OTC trades verifications liaising with all stakes holders.
Production of end of day and next day P&L and Risk flash and explain reports for Rates, FX and MCT.
Production of Liquidity / Gap Analysis reports for London Treasury.
Volcker reporting and monitoring.
Curve monitoring and maintenance.
Ensure Risk profile/predict accuracy and consistency in line with daily market shifts
Liaise with Risk and Product Control Departments to resolve any discrepancies between Middle Office and other reports produced elsewhere
Ad hoc projects/testing as requested by the desks and other teams
Perform the daily exceptions management process in a timely and accurate manner to meet Wells Fargo's reporting obligations.
Enhancement of the control framework around the daily processes.
Maintenance and enhancement of governance documents (e.g. Process flows and procedures).
Act as the link between business requirements and technology solutions.
Work with Traders and Product Control to resolve any P&L discrepancies and Salespeople to work through potential trade issues. .
Issue Management and write-ups.
Liaise with Senior regional stakeholders around the Teams BOW.
Market Skills and Certifications
A strong academic background
A good knowledge of OTC Interest Rate Derivative and FX products
Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel with VBA essential.
Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
Confidence in problem solving.
Ability to work across multiple regions.
An ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
Good interpersonal and networking skills to help close out issues.
Experience of change management.
A working knowledge of the Calypso derivatives system (preferred).
