Senior manager (VP) role to develop and manage PE funds clients for their refinancing needs with corporate bank.
Our client is a foreign-based commercial banks with +130 locations in US and Greater China.
Exciting New Role for You:
A senior role (targeting VP grade) to join a newly setup team to grow the existing portfolio of private equity and private debt firms, by generating new leads that result in incremental loan outstanding, fees, and deposit balances; reporting directly to MD of PE Funds to structure debt solutions that are sufficiently innovative to attract new clients; and to complete the underwriting, due diligence, documentation and booking process; to deepen and broaden relationships by advising a complete package of banking solutions, including treasury management products, international banking opportunities, etc.
Bilingual in English and Chinese (preferably both Mandarin and Cantonese);
10+ years' of banking experience with a minimum of 5 years' of direct client relationship management experience and a strong background in banking private equity firms;
Experience in dealing with a wide array of corporate clients with different credit structures, and a thorough knowledge of financial services and products;
Ability to quickly build credibility, close deals and win relationships from competitors in order to generate incremental loan outstanding, fees, deposit balances;
Understanding of firm structures, and of the respective markets of private equity and debt sub-segments, including fund of funds, energy, venture capital, mezzanine, etc.
Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management;
Demonstrated ability in high level effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effect desired results in the back-office and product areas of the bank;
Team player with a highly developed ability to work and communicate effectively with Credit, and colleagues in both China and the US, as well as with all levels or management throughout the organization.
