Experienced Credit Risk Specialist with renowned commodity trading MNC
Looking at min 2 to 3 yrs of credit risk exp ideally gained in a commodity trading environment
Commodity trading industry exposure is a must
Has credit review exp supporting commodity structured finance or project finance
Our client is a renowned and global commodity firm.
As a credit risk specialist, we are looking for an experienced credit risk professional with around 4 to 7 years of hands-on credit experience. You are responsible for assessment and monitoring of credit risk exposure for all customers as well as the initial due diligence and credit worthiness assessment process for all new counterparties. You also monitoring outstanding account balances and comparison to credit limits. The initial point of contact for all Singapore based Credit Risk queries.
Preparation of credit reviews for new and existing counterparties
Analyze qualitative and quantitative information on a counterparty in order to determine internal ratings
Set appropriate credit limits to cover physical and financial trading activities, including trade finance facilities, working capital facilities and loan origination
Recommend for approval limits up to US$100m and escalate high risk cases to the relevant approval authority
Structure appropriate credit protections for Sourcing & Origination transactions by conducting thorough risk analysis and financial modelling
Run sensitivity and stress scenarios and propose financial as well as non-financial covenants as appropriate
Provide support for secured credit arrangements including trade finance structures and credit insurance
Review and validate credit management reports including exposure and excess monitoring
Ensure credit processes maintain consistency with relevant governance framework documents
Drive standardization and automation of processes and continual improvements. Initiate and participate in system enhancement
Coordinate credit and counterparty risk review of new and existing counterparties
Include credit protection clauses in the contracts
Liaise for credit structuring and invoice discounting
Degree qualified with 2 to 3 years of hands-on credit risk experience.
Has experience gained as a credit analyst in a commodity MNC. Or you are a credit professional in banking with credit exp covering project financing or structured financing and is keen on a corporate credit career with a commodity MNC
Proven track record in credit risk management. Has excellent knowledge of credit and financial analysis
Deep understanding of credit risk within a commodity trading environment
Strong credit structuring experience related to commodity finance
Familiarity with derivatives, ISDAs and risk management concepts used in derivatives trading
Excellent spreadsheet modelling skill. Able to produce report from data stored in multiple systems.
Results orientated with strong stakeholder management skills gained in a global MNC environment.
Strong in presentation and communication skills
