The Investment Strategy team is responsible for multi-manager, multi-asset and custom solutions. The team provides bespoke research and advice across various topics such as asset allocation, fundamental factors, thematic investing and manager research and manages various out-come oriented, factor, alternative risk premia and thematic portfolios on behalf of clients.
We are seeking to recruit an Analyst to work with our Solution Portfolio Managers. The role requires solid analytical and programming skills, passion for the markets and ability to think creatively and analytically out of the box. A basic understanding of investment management, risk management and portfolio construction concepts is helpful but not necessary. The individual will be focused on supporting the Fundamental Factor team to conduct research for their proprietary platform, manage portfolios and will contribute to the team's research, strategic solutions proposals and client analytics capabilities.
ESSENTIALSKILLSANDQUALIFICATIONS A successful candidate will have:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably with some background in financial or data analysis
Proven ability to ramp in technology competency. Programming skills such as Python is a plus
Intellectual curiosity and a passion for markets and the intersection of technology and investment risk management
Ability to thrive in a multi-faceted, fast paced environment with multiple competing deadlines
Thoroughness and attention to detail are essential traits given the importance of communicating correct information to investors and other members of the portfolio management
Work independently as well as part of a highly collaborative team where respectful debate is encouraged to best deliver client outcomes
Strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential traits as are versatility and creative problem solving
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Capable of taking responsibility for independent projects with limited supervision
