As a Senior Java Developer for the credit risk monitoring system you will be part of a scrum team that will be delivering a new monitoring platform that will be used by over 150 analysts in the bank. You will also be involved in latest technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, Spark queries and other big data technologies) with a focus on deployment in the public cloud. Financial Risk Technology team manages Market, Credit, Capital Risk systems and provide a service for Regulatory Reporting requirements for all businesses within the Macquarie Group.
You will bring some experience working on systems within the financial services field, and would be expected to pick up functions of the Credit Risk team. You'll also spend a significant time working within our Capital Markets Risk team who model and stress test all equities/commodities derivative positions within Macquarie.
Finally, you will work with Credit Analysts to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions and implementations that may, in some cases, lie in systems outside your direct team. Teamwork, cross team collaboration and good communication will be key requirements to succeed in the role.
You'll also need to bring:
7+ years of practical experience in Core and Enterprise Java (1.8 preferred)
3+ years of practical experience with Spring and Spring Boot
experience using and developing RESTful APIs using JAX-RS, JSON
experience with some RDMS
experience with test automation
solid understanding of data structures, design patterns and algorithms, and experience in applying them to design pragmatic solutions
domain knowledge in regulatory reform or other related financial industry experience will be looked upon favourably.
