The primary focus of the role is being responsible for growing discretionary business within the London region. You will build relationships with discretionary accounts and prospects.
What will you be doing
Achieving a set amount of new business from prospects and existing supporter firms.
Having a high level of sales activity and progress with prospects based on meetings, events, client interaction as specified.
Take ownership for a defined list of clients, engage with and further develop relationships with firms as appropriate.
Developing a specified number of IFA/ firms from prospects to fund producers each year as demonstrated through your account panels.
Build knowledge of the Royal London Asset Manager product offering.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the wider business and products on offer. (Including Fixed Income, Multi Asset etc).
Client relationship management and asset retention.
Analyse client data and management information available to identify opportunities.
Attend regional Events/ Conferences.
Retain strong relationships with existing supporters to ensure retention and growth of existing assets from these accounts.
What we're looking for
Strong level of experience at Business Development Manager level within Asset Management.
Being a self-starter, working with initiate and being responsible for driving and prioritising your own work load.
Someone who has a strong desire to build their own business franchise within the Royal London Asset Management Wholesale.
Strong communication and presentation skills are required.
Ability to influence and explain investment products in a clear and concise way.
Being a strong team player.
Someone who consistently wants to improve skills and their ability to perform in the role.
Strong work ethical and having a desire to succeed and hit your targets.
Ability to perform in a competitive, target driven environment.
Skills that will help you in the role
Strong knowledge of OEIC and UCITS products.
Strong understanding of Discretionary market, business models, the industry and treads.
IMC qualified – or working toward completing within your probation period.
