Team Description: The EMEA Trade Production team is a hub and bespoke model. There are atotal of 7 Trade Product specialists located in Bournemouth with furtherspecialists offering support within the Trade Advisory team and the branchesi.e. Moscow, Frankfurt, Riyadh, Johannesburg & Madrid. The team areproficient in reviewing and processing Import LC/ Export LC/ Standby LC/Guarantee requests in a timely and professional manner. There is a requirementto engage with External Corporate Clients, External Financial Institutes, LegalDept, Risk Dept, Trade Sales, in order to negotiate and agree upon anacceptable Guarantee / LC text.
Review and structure Standby andGuarantee wordings on behalf of both Corporate and Financial Institutionclients ensuring that all risk elements are assessed and mitigated in line withlegal and regulatory requirements
Verification of Issuance and amendmentof Standby Letters of Credit and Guarantees under designated transaction valuerelease limit on behalf of JPM
Review any drawings received underStandby Letters of Credit and Guarantees and manage risk event handling
Provide technical guidance on complextransactions to both internal and external clients
Investigate and resolve complex clientinquiries related to Standby Letters of Credit and Guarantees offeringsolutions and risk mitigation
Adhere to all established work andescalation procedures
Work with minimum supervision and onown initiative; act as point of reference for less experienced team members inregion
Deliver enhanced client experience withfocus on appropriate review and engagement throughout end to end servicedelivery
Seek opportunities for continuousimprovement in process and transformation of manual work steps
Extensive experience of Standby Letter of Creditand Guarantee handling in banking environment
CSDG (Certificate for Specialist in DemandGuarantees) accreditation would be an asset
Knowledge of current industry standards andpractice including ISP98 (International Standby Practices) and English Lawrequirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsto communicate transactional information and an ability to understand client'sbusiness environment in order to provide appropriate solutions
