Lloyds Banking Group are looking for a Model Monitoring Analyst for a 19 week contract based in Edinburgh or London.
Purpose of this role: Leading on the development and build of the Commercial IFRS9 model calibrations, from a tactical and strategic perspective and model monitoring process using statistical techniques.
Work with business stakeholders to negotiate on the priority of tasks and resources with stakeholders in order to achieve project delivery
Have expert knowledge of all relevant regulatory and legislative constraints, Group standards, FSA regulation etc. and implications for new developments
Lead and manage multiple workstreams, allocating work to balance task completion and team development, ensuring that all developments and analysis are of highest technical quality, can be implemented, meet business requirements and are delivered on time and to budget
Ensure all developments comply with Group Risk standards and FSA and other regulations. Drive forward process to achieve sign off of all technical developments from internal and external governance processes, as appropriate
Provide technical leadership to wider project team; share knowledge and learnings
Present a professional image of IFRS9 project to all stakeholders, ensuring positive personal impact at all times; act with confidence and influence the outcome of discussions with stakeholders at all times
Adapt communication style and approaches to articulate findings, business impacts and recommendations confidently and effectively to all levels
Oversee the scoping, design, development, validation and implementation aspects of developments, using innovative approaches and exploring the use of new technical/statistical methods
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience: 1. Model monitoring experience is essential 2. Experience in the development and use of risk models in Commercial Banking and knowledge of modern risk management techniques within Commercial Banking 3. Natural ability with numbers, analytical, Excel, SASS, SQL – are desirable 4. Experience of working with R Code is desirable
