A demonstrated track record of negotiating and executing complex M&A, venture, partnership and joint venture transactions
Proven ability to formulate informed positions and influence internal and external parties with respect to company valuation, deal tactics, transaction processes and related definitive agreements
Considerable experience working on transactions of various size, type and complexity across the Asia Pacific region, with a strong emphasis on execution of deals in India
Research potential companies, markets and expertise areas that may be enhanced through acquisition
Understanding of company-specific and deal-related considerations in the data, analytics, information services, software, technology and financial services industries
Experience in managing cross-functional, cross-regional teams through an entire M&A process
Assistance to and guidance of senior deal team members in developing detailed financial projections and financial models, summarizing data and preparing information for Board-level reporting and review
Oversee the creation of complex valuation models and prepare complete valuation analysis incorporating DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, leveraged buyout analyses and alternative valuation methods
Must be able to handle all aspects of transaction execution, from origination to detailed financial modelling to negotiating material deal terms with other principals
Positively represents Experian and its core values to external parties including external advisors and potential acquisition targets
At least 10 years experience in M&A, ideally in Corporate Development, Investment Banking or Private Equity
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to assume leadership positions, interact with executive management, work with a variety of clients & partners
Ability to synthesize complex problems and risks into easily understood language
Desire and ability to operate in an entrepreneurial, small team environment focused on expanding Experian's existing footprint and business platform throughout the region
Ability to maintain investment banking and sourcing contacts, monitor M&A and industry activities and report highlights to executive staff
Solid understanding of the Asia Pacific market particularly India
Excellent knowledge of economic, financial and market research methods and techniques
Excellent quantitative analysis skills with emphasis on financial modelling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Strong project management skills
