We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Associate Director, Balance Sheet Management .
Cash and funding management with responsibilities for managing the current account held with the Central Bank and all other foreign currency nostro accounts.
Management of short-term liquidity and interest rate risks via trading fixed income products including bond and repo, FX swaps, cross currency swaps, IR derivatives and money market loans and deposits in accordance to Group and local regulatory framework.
Deploying commercial surplus in the most optimal manner.
Manage structural interest rate risk of the Bank along with other risk taken within BSM to optimize revenue subject to market risk, credit risk, liquidity and capital limits.
Work closely with ALCM, other Control Functions and Customer Groups across the Bank on issues regarding payments and cash management, intraday liquidly, funding and interest rate risk transfer.
Degree holder in Finance or Mathematics or equivalent.
Balance Sheet Management or other Treasury related experience.
Strong knowledge of developed markets and market risk management.
Good understanding of hedge accounting treatment and Volcker rules.
Technical knowledge: an understanding of banking issues - capital, liquidity, funding, structural interest rate risk and elements of transfer pricing/liquidity premium would be helpful.
Product knowledge including Fixed Income, IR derivatives, Cross currency swaps, FX swaps.
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills to deal with a diverse set of stakeholders across complex issues and narratives
Excellent team player with a proactive and self-motivated attitude and ability to think and act independently
