About the Role The role is part of the Data Insights & Initiatives team. You will join a team of ambitious and passionate associates, driven by ideas and with a bias towards execution. The opportunity The team is part of a new group responsible for supporting the company's growth and operational objectives by driving process improvement, the implementation of critical reengineering initiatives and priority projects. The group focuses on high-impact projects identified in partnership with senior executives and leaders throughout the company and will often focus on the company's most urgent process improvement or functional development needs. The role reports to the Director of Business Initiatives, and will be supporting the Chief Financial Officer's office as well as cross LOB initiatives, including:
Operations efficiency initiatives
Data insights efforts, including LTV, customer acquisition and retention
Data infrastructure transformation
Retooling of the Analytics & Reporting function
As a Senior Manager, you will collaborate with partners across the organization to lead and execute process improvement and growth projects across the company. You will be responsible for managing projects including scoping problems, identifying major issues and actionable opportunities and designing and implementing solutions, while providing quantified potential bottom-line financial impact. You will be working with business partners to build hypothesis sets, analyses, and developing and implementing solutions. You will build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, lead discovery, problem solving, presentations and execution of the efforts.
Qualifications Basic Requirements
Experience with top-tier management consulting firm or an internal consulting team or relevant corporate experience (strategy, transformation)
Experience in strategy, process improvement or reengineering efforts within an operations environment
Experience in financial services operations strategy or consulting highly preferred, but not required
Problem solving skills - The candidate must demonstrate the ability to identify key issues, gather data to investigate those issues and develop actionable recommendations. Given a strong fact base, the candidate should be able to defend his/her point of view in the face of resistance
Analytical skills - The candidate must be highly analytical with experience in defining analytical approaches for projects and applying a range of analytical tools to synthesize insights and develop solutions. He/she must be able to engage with data scientists and analysts
Project management skills - The candidate must be able to scope projects and create workable project plans. He/she must plan for resource requirements and should motivate and leverage available resources (both internal and potentially external consultants) to execute on work plan. The candidate must be able to meet commitments and balance competing priorities
Teamwork skills - The candidate must be flexible in his/her work style and be able to appropriately deploy, mentor, and develop junior talent within the team
Client management skills - The candidate must demonstrate the ability to closely partner with senior and line managers and other stakeholders on projects
Communications skills - The candidate must possess strong written and oral executive-level communication skills, including the ability to quickly adjust messages and style based on different audiences and agendas
