The Compliance division has an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Regulatory Risk covering the Australia & NZ region. If you are a high calibre and experienced compliance professional who can take the existing processes to the next level, with a focus on helping position the function well to anticipate emerging risks in a continually evolving regulatory environment then we would love to hear from you.
In this role you will co-ordinate and manage entity licensing and authorisations for Macquarie's Australian businesses, including developing processes to ensure efficient management of licencing requirements. You will have responsibility for managing regional regulator relationships, especially ASIC and pro-actively identifying and communicating emerging risks across the region.
You'll manage the annual audit requirements, including developing an appropriate level of attestations to ensure effectiveness of controls and processes; whilst identifying and managing Macquarie's response to regulatory developments including participation on industry bodies and co-ordination of responses to consultation papers.
You will work closely with risk colleagues to ensure the implementation of regulatory change is appropriately addressed. You will manage the regulatory interactions to ensure responses are timely and complete and ensure adequate reporting is provided to stakeholders and senior management. You will develop a program of work to ensure the Regulatory Risk team is operating effectively and to drive continuous improvement across the ANZ team.
To be a success in the role you will have a demonstrated ability to lead people with a style that will invigorate the function and take it to the next level. Your deep understanding of compliance and ability to translate this to influence risk-based solutions will allow you to provide advice and build confidence with senior stakeholders. Ideally, you will have a strong understanding of business drivers and a strategic capability to harmonize compliance process with business needs
