Based out of Singapore, Mizuho Bank's Asia & Oceania Treasury Department (AOTD) oversees FX & Derivatives Sales, Trading, ALM and Macroeconomic/Market Research for Asia (outside of Japan and Greater China). The Research team covers pan-Asia research in the context of global market environment and are tasked with supporting the sales and trading activity with research inputs both within the Treasury and to customers. In addition, the Research team also works with the Bank's relationship managers and product specialists to engage customers with unbiased economic/market views as well as inputs for internal decision-making.

Job Responsibilities Your key roles & responsibilities include: The role requires sound macroeconomic analysis, suitably distilled into policy views and/or FX and interest rate implications. And the ideal candidate should be equally adept at publishing such analyses as well delivering these as pithy presentations. Sound economic fundamentals and strong market understanding delivered by means of effective communications are necessary skillsets for this role, which also requires travel.
- Assume country coverage for fundamental macro-economic, policy, FX and interest rate analyses for Asia ex-Japan economies. - Publish periodic as well as ad-hoc and thematic reports. - Client engagement to provide forecasts, views, analyses and presentations, in concert with Treasury Sales and the Bank's Front Office. - Regular sharing of macro/market views with the Trading Desk as well as Sales Team.
Job Requirements What you should have: - 6-10 Years of experience in a similar role - Strong numerical capabilities with an inherent aptitude for data analyses - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities - Team-player - Post-graduate degree in economics or finance
