Job Purpose (Job Summary): The general role of the Associate is to work within Invesco's Private Markets Product Management team with primary responsibility for coordinating and facilitating the launch/ongoing marketing of open-end and closed fund products. The position is open to cover maternity leave. The role requires the ability to work across several Invesco teams, as well as external advisors, to ensure a structured approach, globally. The role requires a high degree of organizational and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Develop intimate knowledge of the underlying product to understand positive / negative attributes and how it should be positioned in the market.
Utilize databases / connections / events to understand the competitive landscape for the product.
MARKETING MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT:
Work with presentations / fund team to create exceptional collateral to emphasize the strengths and purpose of the underlying strategy.
Craft talking points for the distribution teams that they can use when talking with clients about the product.
Ensure global consistency of all marketing materials developed.
FACILITATING LAUNCH OF NEW PRODUCTS:
Project manage the process for the launch/ongoing marketing of products; setting timelines and deliverables for all teams involved (Legal, Finance, Operational, CPMs and Portfolio Management).
DISTRIBUTION PLANNING & SUPPORT:
Creation of a marketing plan for new and existing products. This plan should address the target fundraising goals, the distribution strategy (i.e – target lists, communication strategy with distribution team members) and identifying the required collateral materials / resources needed to successfully meet fundraising goals.
Work with the internal RFP team to develop initial RFP responses and respond to RFP's and client questions. Ensure global consistency across products.
Take ownership of scheduling on-site meetings to review the product including developing the agenda and ensuring the right stakeholders are present at the meeting.
Work with CPM and Portfolio Management teams to prepare for client pitches.
Coordinate investor due diligence working with internal and external team members.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
3-5 years' experience in product development, product management or similar role
Interest in alternative financial products (Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private equity, Distressed Debt)
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts.
Must be detail oriented and demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
Must work well both independently, and as a team member, and be able to manage time under tight deadlines.
Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
Undergraduate Degree is required
