The primary function of the BNY Mellon Private Equity Group is to provide BNY Mellon clients with attractive private equity investment opportunities. The Private Equity Group's strategy uses a series of internally managed "core" private equity funds of funds that are complemented by externally managed "satellite" funds targeting other illiquid alternative investment sectors, styles or strategies. The BNY Mellon Private Equity Group is responsible for selecting and monitoring the private equity and venture capital fund managers that are used in the BNY Mellon Private Equity Funds of Funds and identifying and partnering with third party managers to provide select additional investment opportunities in related sectors.
The Private Equity Product Manager's primary responsibilities are to manage the organization and delivery of the funds of funds and externally managed funds that are recommended and approved for investment by Wealth Management clients. The Product Manager will assist senior investment professionals throughout Wealth Management in the identification of new alternative investment products, coordinate legal and compliance efforts to launch new funds, develop and maintain marketing materials for the funds, coordinate the marketing and delivery of new products to portfolio managers and clients, and maintain control over the subscription processes for all funds. The Product Manager will also coordinate with internal and external counsel and the Wealth Management Compliance professionals to ensure compliance with laws and internal policies. The Product Manager must maintain thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures and operations.
The successful candidate will possess strong written and oral communications skills, and will be well organized and able to function as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
5+ years ofinvestment experience, with knowledge of private equity, venture capital, andother alternative investments. Undergraduate degree required. MBA or other graduate degree in business,economics, finance or related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
