Director, Media Planning - North America
Overview: The Marketing Leader for US Media will be responsible for leading the end to end development and management of integrated media plans (digital and non- digital) supporting key US priorities such as cross border, mobile / wallet services and key product acquisition initiatives across digital channels. This role is required to collaborate with cross functional marketing teams and product teams to develop media briefs, manage the development of the communications architecture, the media consideration set and the final media plan. The role is also responsible for the execution, implementation and the optimization of the plans. The role must push forward the innovation agenda to deliver on cutting edge media plans that leverage investments in the most efficient and effective way particularly across digital channels from search, social, mobile and display to advance the US digital strategy in support of our products and services
Role: Responsibilities for the position will include the following: -Work closely with the marketing and product teams managing mobile / e wallet services/ other emerging payments products and solutions to develop, manage and execute innovative media plans to deliver against product and business goals -Work cross functionally with US Media and US Digital Marketing to identify and cultivate Digital partnerships or investment opportunities to support MasterCard's digital and social strategy. Identify and engage Digital partnership relationships and opportunities -Collaborate with other markets to deploy cross border media programs to drive cross border volume as well as manage airport programs across key airports (JFK/LAX/OHARE/Miami etc) -Collaborate with advisors and key digital partners to leverage and align targeting capabilities to drive the acquisition of products and measure the effectiveness of the channels in optimizing efforts -Lead end to end digital partnership development process including evaluating partners, contract negotiation, and providing contract support -Digital subject matter expert on top of digital market trends, partner landscape, and consumer needs. Keeps abreast of competitive and technological changes and innovations impacting the industry -Ability to operate on both a strategic and tactical level, informing aspects of the paid digital media including strategic partnerships, optimization programs, systems recommendations, creative and content testing and analytics -Analytical mindset, with a passion for user experience and relentless drive for performance to optimize our digital media campaigns for maximum efficiency and effectiveness while working with cross-functional partners to execute programs - Builds strong relationships with the external community (media relationships, agencies, and other key players in the digital space) to ensure strong knowledge of external market and potential partners -Partner across US Marketing and with other business units to identify assets across Mastercard where we can partner to deliver greater value across Mastercard Digital programs and campaigns - Prepare and present updates on digital media/ partnerships strategy development and progress -Responsible for digital media operations, planning, and coordination across all US Region Digital media activities, including fostering relationships with Digital Media Partners (Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, etc) -Liaise and foster coordination across Digital Media and Digital marketing partners internally and externally, including agency partners, and internal technologies team

Required experience - Proven track record of planning, developing, launching and optimizing media plans -Has personally managed and executed large-scale media programs by going beyond conventional executions and delivering best in class plans across multiple digital tactics-social, digital, display, mobile and search -Hands-on experience in media with a specific focus on digital media marketing and or digital media planning , execution and optimization -Experience integrating and optimizing above the line media programs with other marketing/advertising channels (paid, social media marketing, and others) -Understanding of media landscape including key players and trends such as social media, mobile web/ apps, etc. -Bachelors Degree.
