The Business Resiliency team is responsible for assessing, developing and communicating the recovery environment requirements and contingency plans during unforeseen disruptions and to ensure work execution in the event that infrastructure and/or technology resources are unavailable or compromised. In addition, Resiliency and Crisis Management provides governance, oversight and strategic direction to the CB sub-lines of business to anticipate, prepare, mitigate, respond and recover from business disruptions.
The APAC Business Resiliency Manager is responsible for supporting the business resiliency function across a specific set of CB sub-lines and will own the BCP plans for the APAC and EMEA regions. The role will also provide follow-the-sun crisis management support for all locations globally. The role will report directly into the APAC Regional Lead for Business Continuity based in Singapore and functionally report to the Global Business Resiliency Manager based in North America.
Work with business resiliency coordinators, functional partners and clients to manage and maintain a comprehensive business resiliency program; ensuring all functions have the ability to recover from disruptions.
Conduct Business Impact Analyses.
Create plan documentation and facilitate plan testing.
Collaborate with partners and resiliency coordinators to enhance current resiliency plans to mitigate the impact of unexpected disruptions.
Work with the CB Technology team to ensure that technology is aligned with business needs and to develop appropriate protocol to ensure that corporate, regulatory and business resiliency requirements are met.
Ensure vendor resiliency plans are sufficient to cover JPMC function requirements with appropriate location diversification as required.
Manage all resiliency plan data in firm-wide tool, Resiliency Data Management System (RDMS) in an evergreen status.
Perform periodic reviews and tests of established Business Resiliency Plans and procedures, reporting findings to management and making recommendations for improvements as needed; ensure compliance with firm-wide resiliency testing requirements.
Participate in appropriate business unit and development planning meetings and activities. Facilitate timely identification, escalation, resolution, and follow-up for all outstanding issues.
Assess and document all business impacts during incidents; manage escalations to management as needed.
Execute or train resiliency coordinator to execute automated staff notifications (both call tree testing and during incidents) utilizing firm wide notification tool, Everbridge.
Develop and deliver business resiliency training and education broadly across the function
Provide regional coverage for other Business Continuity towers such as Workforce Strategy and take on ad-hoc projects as requested by the Regional Lead or the Global functional manager.
Preferred at least 3-5 years of experience in business resiliency in the financial sector in a global bank and an overall experience of 10 years or more.
Preferred at least a Bachelor's degree in Business or related.
Strong working knowledge of business resiliency policies, practices, standards and regulatory requirements with the ability to understand and interpret the impact of decisions, as well as identify and convey potential problem areas
Experience coordinating business resiliency activities for a complex and global business
Ability to build relationships and provide consultation related to resiliency planning
Ability to analyze and streamline resiliency functions across various locations with a focus on concentration
Demonstrated experience making independent critical fact based decisions while understanding the appropriate escalation points
Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, planning skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
Ability to review documentation and provide summary overviews and trending analysis for internal and external audiences
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of management, both written and verbal
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Knowledge of risk management and business resiliency tools
Ability to lead, challenge and adopt a changing business landscape
