UK Media Relations Lead's Key Responsibilities:
Media Management - working closely with UK national and trade press to promote investment products to market
UK Spokesperson - act as the key point of contact for journalists and field any media enquiries appropriately
Strategic Decision Making - able to suggest improvements to the existing strategy as well as to ensure the firm are tactically positioned in the market
Content Management - including managing the distribution of press releases, market updates, blogs, videos, podcasts and other interviews involving key portfolio managers
Agency Management - management of a media agency, briefing and guiding them on the firm's positioning on hot topics
Ad hoc responsibilities - as part of the wider Communications team
UK Media Relations Lead's Ideal Background and Experience:
Extensive PR / Media Relations / Corporate Communications / External Communications experience within investment management, either in-house or as part of a media agency
Experience managing PR for the UK market, ideally with exposure to intermediary clients and with existing press contacts in hand
Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement experience to be confident in managing tricky conversations
