The company is a major global provider of Fund Management Solutions to the asset management industry, with offices in Europe, USA, and beyond. The work itself deals with European Management Companies, Fund Platforms, Independent Fund Directorships and other Fiduciary services, both within AIF and UCITS.
Due to the successful growth of the business, an additional member is to join the team. Other offices offer a lot of administrative and back-office support so as a Lawyer on the team you really get to focus on what you do best. You will report directly to the Head of Legal in Luxembourg, and another small team of 4 in another European office.
Main Responsibilities: ·Supporting the business from a legal and regulatory perspective in Luxembourg. ·Legal review of fund launch documentation ·Drafting and negotiating various agreements (including AIFM and investment management agreements, review of the prospectus, trust deeds, administration etc) ·Assisting the business generally on all Management Company issues, ·Advise and assist Directors, MLRO, Conducting Officers and Compliance Officers ·Assist with business development and sales activities and client services teams as required ·Liaising with external legal advisers and client's counsel ·Assisting with drafting and implementing regulatory documents ·Assisting and Support for Global Registration Team with legal and regulatory issues
Previous Experience: ·Ideally 5 years in asset management, ideally in Luxembourg but flexible. ·Knowledge with laws and regulations impacting financial services providers and investment management businesses globally ·Exposure to AIF fund structures, UCTS would be a plus ·Capacity to work in a dynamic business and regulatory environment ·Strong legal background and education, LLM minimum, but also considering qualified Lawyers as well, or previous bar registration.
Person Specification: ·Excellent rapport and client relationship building skills, business development would be an asset ·Highly organised individual, working closely with other office and managing time and deadlines efficiently. ·Outstanding communication skills, with the team, seniors, and investors. ·Dynamic and solution-based individual, ability to adapt to each project ·Fluent English (written and spoken) essential. Additional languages are a plus.
