We are looking for Regulatory Credit & Market Risk Controller for our Budapest office

Preparation, analysis and review of various regulatory capital calculation requirements (including Credit and Counterparty Risk, Leverage, Market Risk and Own Funds/Eligible Capital), supporting reviews and preparing materials for use in Senior Management signoff meetings Investigate drivers of material movements in calculation variables impacting key reporting, interrogating systems and data, and liaising with other teams to understand root cause Develop understanding of key Regulatory rules requirements (European & US rule sets) and apply to various processes/calculations Partner with the reporting team to explain and validate daily, monthly and quarterly variances in capital numbers, supporting the production of key internal and external regulatory reporting submissions Build effective relationships within the Global Regulatory team and with other colleagues /stakeholders across the firm Support the strategic development of firm systems, challenge and work to enhance processes and controls Identify, escalate and co-ordinate the resolution of issues Support maintenance and development of documentation in line with internal audit and other internal best practice guidelines Challenge processes and procedures in order to enhance controls and streamline efficiencies Seek ways to improve hand-offs and integration with other teams Exercise judgement to prioritise workload and ensure issues/errors are escalated to management on a timely basis
Incremental requirements for manager candidates:
Manage the prioritisation, execution and review across all daily, weekly, monthly and Quarterly deliverables Support development/growth of the team in the deployment phase and beyond Support self-assessment exercises and internal audit/related reviews
Have work experience within large Financial services firms or other directly relevant experience (commensurate with role being applied for) Have experience of managing, developing and leading teams (commensurate with role being applied for) Hold an Accounting /Finance/Mathematical degree or equivalent Be highly numerate with a close attention to detail Have proven skills in investigating complex data issues to extract key themes and discover root causes Have the ability to work effectively within a local and global team Have the flexibility required to work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines A strong commitment to developing their own skills Have an awareness/interest in Financial Markets/products and the Regulatory environment
Relevant work experience in the financial services industry desirable (regulatory reporting, financial and product control, liquidity, treasury) Candidates should possess excellent Microsoft Excel skills and be proficient in data mining and summarising and presenting themes and results in a meaningful format Knowledge of financial products and Regulatory capital/reporting rules/landscape Experience presenting and summarising key messages in email correspondence, in meetings and/or conference call environments, to diverse group of colleagues
