As the Chief of Staff, the position will report to the Head of SVB Global Operations and provide critical and wide-ranging support for this organization. This position will work alongside SVB's senior leaders as we continue to expand our operational strategy. This position will also play a strategic role supporting the Head of Global Ops as the leader also has site leader responsibility for the Tempe and Salt Lake locations, as well as influence across all Global Delivery Centers.
Establish a strong connective tissue between the Head, leadership team and the larger group, ensuring all are aligned on strategic decisions and impactful changes outside of the organization.
Build critical connections and bridges between the direct reports and other lines of business.
Create connections between the Head and aspects of the Business to create awareness, drive change and/or understand critical road blocks. Serve as liaison for the group across SVB.
Manage multiple strategic business projects to achieve organizational objectives, fostering cross-functional collaboration with marketing, sales, product, technology, finance, operations, legal, compliance, human resources, and risk.
Manages projects and milestones, reporting up and across the organization as needed.
With the leadership team, create the group's corporate strategic plan. Support the leadership to ensure the strategic vision is articulated and shared effectively.
Understand and anticipate the key deliverables of the Head and business, proactively planning and supporting those needs to ensure early, high-quality delivery of materials and required preparation.
Drive the development of reporting dashboards and continue to evolve reporting to meet the needs of the business.
Work with Head on project assessments v ROI.
Develop executive communication and reporting including strategic decks for the Executive Committee, Board, quarterly reporting of accomplishments, and goal management.
Ensure sharp focus on team communications and operations for better employee engagement and enablement.
Oversee the planning of the business' leadership meetings, All-Hands and off-sites.
Makes regular and frequent decisions on projects, communications, and strategic planning activities based on feedback an interaction of leaders.
Makes regular recommendations to Head of Global Operations based on feedback and direct interaction with various leaders.
Ability to influence, negotiate and build consensus with disparate parties.
Strong communication skills, i.e., verbal, written, presentation, and listening abilities.
