Financial services client seeks a Credit risk Manager to manage the groups credit risk operations.
Our client is looking for a credit risk manager to help lead the risk team.
The role is an exciting opportunity to help co-ordinate and manage the group's credit risk operations. The role will allow candidates to produce detailed analysis of prospective and existing counterparties to assist senior management to make informed commercial decisions. The candidate should enjoy a fast-paced and evolving working environment. They will work closely with numerous external and internal stakeholders, including clients, front office staff, business managers and the executive board.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Prepare credit reviews of new and existing counterparties, approving within individual authority. o Documentation, presentation and analysis of transaction structure, financial information and counterparty relationship.
Providing robust and detailed recommendations of credit limits and internal ratings for escalation to the appropriate approval authority. o Concise and well-thought-out recommendation(s), up to the Board.
Manage and support the development credit risk analysts Review of structured options product proposals from a credit perspective.
Portfolio reviews of clients and counterparties based on country or sector risk. Preparation of monthly and ad hoc reporting to senior management and the Board.
Providing input into the scoping, design, development, validation and implementation of credit risk models. Help lead current development of a new credit management and internal rating system. Manage counterparty margining procedures. Support senior management liaising with at risk clients.
Collaborate with Treasury to manage liquidity and risk exposures Oversee utilisation of client limits and ensure all clients are adhering to facility terms.
Experience and Qualifications Required
Educated to bachelor's degree level Experience of working within a group credit risk function or business level equivalent.
Experience of working in an underwriting/decisioning role in a bank or financial institution. Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Well organised and experience of working to tight deadlines and managing high workloads.
Technical Skills Required Financial statement analysis and research skills. Ability to analyse and assess embedded credit risks and to interpret financial data. Understanding of risk rating methodology and external ratings. Sound judgement in decision making when making credit recommendations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders within a complex organisational environment.
