Purpose of the role
The role holder will proactively identify, recommend, deliver and execute a range of complex data solutions to deliver the Banks "Bank led" redress and remediation strategy. They will work autonomously with other cross functional subject matter experts and display a high level of competence and in depth knowledge of our bank's systems, data and redress and remediation policies.
Lead the development and execution of complex and/or large scale solution developments for Bank led redress & remediation, ensuring that solution design is appropriate for the application.
Proactively identify issues, risks, assumptions and dependencies during project phases; formulate mitigating actions and implement measures to reduce, remove or manage them.
Provide support to junior colleagues and to wider team to deliver tasks, encourage development, transfer knowledge and provide training.
Deputise for the Lead Redress & Remediation Senior Developer when required to ensure development progress is maintained and issues are resolved or escalated.
Actively seek to build and maintain relationships with a range of internal stakeholders to enhance and maximise the provision of solutions.
Take responsibility for raising standards within the team, leading on improvement initiatives and cascading effectively to wider team
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Extensive experience in the delivering data and reporting solutions using the following SAS components (other versions accepted)
Base SAS language 9.2 including Macro Language
SAS Data Integration Studio 4.2
SAS Enterprise Guide 4.3
Knowledge of SAS Scalable Performance Data Server (SPDS).
Experience of working in a SAS Grid environment
Extensive experience of Bank or Customer led redress solutions and policies
Good working knowledge of the SAS Metadata environment
Strong SQL knowledge and experience
Full software development and project lifecycle experience
Microsoft Office experience
Excellent problem solving/analytical skillset
Excellent people negotiation, influencing and communication skills
Excellent planning and organisation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
UK Banking experience
