The European arm of a global real estate private equity group is looking for a talented analyst to join its growing team. The London-based team has a 30+ year successful track record of investing in and managing a substantial portfolio including offices, residential, hotels and private debt. They have the ambition to further grow the portfolio and expand into new prime real estate markets in Europe and alternative asset classes.
They are now looking to add an Analyst to their team, who will have a few key areas of responsibility:
Assist the European Head of Financing with:
the origination, execution and management of senior debt for new acquisitions and the existing portfolio, and
the origination, execution and management of mezzanine and preferred equity investments.
Assist the Investment Team with the financial modelling, underwriting, research and due diligence on potential acquisitions.
Additionally, the Analyst is expected to work closely with all members of the team providing support and gaining exposure to all aspects of the business.

Appropriate academic qualification in real estate, finance or law.
At least 1 year of relevant experience within the real estate investment world at a leading bank, law firm, investment group, or agency/advisory business.
At least basic modelling/Excel skills – complex modelling can be taught in-house.
Excellent analytical, interpersonal communication and writing skills.
Strong work ethic and integrity: candidate should be a team player who possesses a deep intellectual curiosity and desire to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Assist in the origination and underwriting of borrowing and lending opportunities in the real estate debt space using financial modelling, risk, return and sensitivity analyses, due diligence on industry fundamentals/drivers, etc.
Transaction management and execution responsibilities, including:
Instructing and engaging with third party advisers.
Reviewing property, valuation, insurance and client due diligence materials.
Negotiating loan and security documentation with legal advisers and borrowers/lenders.
Loan management responsibilities, including:
Maintaining detailed files and records post-closing.
Prepare and submit periodic reporting requirements.
Ongoing liaison with borrowers and lenders.
Support the Investment Team by underwriting potential acquisitions through financial modelling, market research, etc.
