The Research Systems Group provides development and support to GMO Investment Divisions in all areas of the investment process, including research, portfolio construction and optimization, pre and post trade analytics.
We are looking for a MATLAB Software Engineer to work with the Research Systems Group on a variety of projects focused on investment research and portfolio management. You will be part of a team responsible for developing quantitative research analysis software in MATLAB by writing code, creating unit tests, testing functionality, debugging, and technical documentation. You will be part of a team that builds calculation intensive, professional grade research software. You will work closely with Sr. Developers and Business Users in various GMO Investment Divisions to support research in multiple asset classes. Working MATLAB experience is essential to success in this position.
We are looking for an individual to be based in our Boston Office.
Work closely with business users, research analysts and portfolio managers to identify areas where technology could be leveraged to enhance the investment process and achieve superior results.
Propose, design and implement technical solutions, develop automated tests and integrate code into the current production environment.
Investigate, troubleshoot and correct disruptions in the production process.
Work closely with the business on Ad-hoc requests.
Four-year college degree required
Advanced degree in computers, math or science preferred
