This role plans, directs and co-ordinates the Compensation and Benefits activities of India. As a key subject matter expert of the Compensation and Benefits functions locally; the role provides local insights, consultation and advice to Human Resources Business Partners and the senior business leaders as required. This position reports to the regional head of compensation and benefits and is expected to work closely with other members of the Global Compensation and Benefits teams to provide and initiate local strategies and also strives alignment with the Global and Regional Total Rewards framework.
Conduct analysis and provides support to the development and implementation of local rewards program for meeting business requirements, market competitiveness, local practices, Global total rewards framework and statutory compliance
Recommend and implement changes to current practice based on latest market trends and total rewards best practices to ensure the organization stays competitive in the market and industry following the Global total rewards framework
Evaluate local total rewards programs at the direction of regional head of compensation and benefits on a frequent basis to cope with the market changes Negotiate coverage services and costs with carriers to minimize expense associated with the overall benefits package within the country and strive for synergy by leveraging the multinational pooling network and global population
Participate in regional and global team providing local input into global compensation and benefits projects
Offer guidance and advisory support for remuneration package design following the global total rewards framework as well as business objectives
Responsible for implementing regulatory and compliance matters if they related to compensation and benefits functions locally
Cultivate a thorough understanding of the total rewards framework of the Company by offering guidance and education to local HR team and/or senior business managers with regard to compensation and benefits programs and philosophies.
Strengthen the communication in the area of total rewards to establish better understanding from senior stakeholders down to individual employees level
Partner with Human Resources business partners locally and regionally to ensure timely and effective communication, and implementation of HR strategy, policies and practices
Degree or tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
Minimum 8 years work experience in compensation and benefits area preferably within the multinational financial services sectors.
Previous experience in projects across multiples sites / cities
Strong numerical analytical capabilities and be able to deduce logical conclusions through interpreting the data
Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills with strong presentation skills
High degree of integrity and confidentiality
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to use discretion and deal effectively with uncertainty, change and ambiguity
Well versed in India Employment related legislations
