This is a leading global commodities company with diversified businesses and a global presence in more than 20 countries. A rare opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Asia Head of Credit to lead the function based in Singapore.
Reporting to the Global head of Credit based in Head Office, you will lead the Asia counterparty credit risk function directly managing the relationship with the business unit heads. You will serve as a key business partner working to support the business activities in Asia, contributing to developing and executing BU strategies and goals in the region. You will influence, shape and establish function and business specific counterparty risk policies and operating principles as appropriate; educate businesses with regards to corporate and business counterparty risk policies/requirements/processes; as well as monitor and ensure compliance. You will partner with other regional counterparty risk management teams, analytics, market risk, to leverage insight, data, capabilities, talent, tools and best practices and drive efficiencies. You will also play a key role in talent development of your team who are located in various parts of Asia Pacific.
You are degree qualified in a business/ finance discipline with 10-12 years' regional counterparty credit experience in managerial roles gained in Commodities trading or the banks covering corporate clients in commodities/ natural resources. Experience in commodities trading businesses will highly advantageous. You have strong business partnering, problem solving, analytical and change management experience. Fluency in Mandarin is essential as there will be significant interaction with businesses and counterparts in China. You will also possess strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
