We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Crime Assurance Manager to join our team in Milton Keynes or London.
As a Financial Crime Assurance Manager you will be managing the Financial Crime Assurance team to execute the Financial Crime Assurance plan within the required timescales and to a high standard.
We are currently in the process of building the Line 1 Financial Crime Assurance Team so the successful applicant will be joining at a key time, contributing to how the function will operate and be a key influencer in the evolution of the function going forward.

As a Financial Crime Assurance Manager your main responsibilities will be
Managing a small team of Financial Crime Assurance Consultants to execute the annual Line 1 Financial Crime Assurance Plan for Santander UK across the Retail bank, delivering independent reviews of key financial crime operations, processes and controls across the UK business.
Overseeing and participating in the planning and execution of each review, in line with Santander's Financial Crime Assurance Methodology.
The ability to manage and be an active participant in other priority projects within Financial Crime as and when required.
Providing accurate MI on an ongoing basis to the Financial Crime Assurance Senior Manager on the status of the Plan.
Managing relationships and influencing appropriate key stakeholders across the business and collaborate with other teams as required.
Keeping up to date with relevant regulations, best practice and industry guidance and rules.
Producing high quality reports which clearly highlight identified issues and risks to Santander.
Effectively assessing compliance with Santander's published Financial Crime Policies and Standards and embedding and enhancing a robust Financial Crime Methodology.
Minimum skills and experience required
Sound knowledge and understanding of global financial crime requirements, regulatory expectations & industry good practice.
Proactive in managing, organising, prioritising workloads in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Previous experience in finance industry at equivalent level in financial crime.
Previous experience in retail or corporate banking financial crime, assurance or audit.
Experience in documenting or reviewing end to end processes
Relevant compliance and/or legal qualifications.
