Position Summary Reporting to the Senior Business Manager for APAC Banking, the Wholesale Payments Business Manager will manage an APAC team of more than 10 business managers. The primary function of the role is to serve as a strategic business partner to the APAC Wholesale Payments business, and be an integral member of the Wholesale Payments Management team. There is large emphasis on partnership, execution and delivery - the candidate must be confident in facing off senior management, challenge the business constructively and be seen on equal terms.
Drive change and implementation of business strategy, including partner to all support functions to ensure they are aligned with business goals and changing market trends
Support shaping and execution of strategic initiatives working with senior management team, including critical cross-cutting programs, organizational change and productivity initiatives
Optimize business resources for investment, including technology work programs and people related initiatives
Develop essential management information for senior decision making, including insights around business drivers, strategic initiatives, competitor information and emerging trends
Responsible for business forecasts and planning cycles; work collaboratively across finance to uphold financial control and consistency
Produce strategic and financial content for senior business reviews and management meetings
Partner with BCO organization to ensure correct framework of controls are in place across the business, and relevant with a changing environment
12+ years of relevant industry experience in Wholesale Payments, ideally coupled with financial and business management experience in an international bank
Experience managing regional teams across multiple countries
Track record of leadership - possess strengths of personality and intellect to gain the respect of demanding business heads and global finance executive management team
Collaborative and participative management style; sensitivity, discretion and sound decision-making skills allied with the ability to interact at senior executive and Board level are essential
Superior influencing and relationship management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to produce high quality business content for reviews
