Located in the beautiful Finger Lakes, Cuddy Financial Services, is a progressive tax and accounting firm located in Auburn, NY. We are looking for an experienced CPA to join our team!
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Prepare accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports, to assess accuracy, and completeness. - Prepares basic to complex personal tax returns. - Prepares basic to complex corporate, partnership and S-corp returns. - Prepares basic to complex amended returns, personal tax returns and payroll tax returns. - Reviews returns prepared by others as needed. - Examines accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department. - Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Office and Quickbooks. - Utilizes and develops an understanding of various tax programs and tax software. - Works with confidential client matters.
Work Environment This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and filing cabinets. Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time exempt position. May be expected to work additional hours based on need. - Non-Tax Season: (May – December (35 hours): Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. - Tax Season: (Second Monday in January (no later than January 9th) – First Monday in May): Monday through Friday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (and after hours when necessary) and Saturday: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Travel Some travel required to customer locations as needed.

Required Education and Experience - Certified Public Accountant - Minimum 2 years accounting experience Preferred Education and Experience - Minimum 5 years accounting experience
