The CIB Operations Transformation Program is a strategic, organization-wide initiative to leverage existing innovative activities and implement programs to achieve large scale change. The program is focused on improving efficiency, scalability and operational leverage across CIB Operations by executing a coordinated, cross-LOB transformation strategy.
The candidate joining our group will be expected to lead high-impact strategic initiatives with senior leadership visibility. The programs will typically be focused on Client Experience Transformation, where you will be required to identify opportunities for large impact transformation using a data driven approach and lead a program that will deliver on a target state vision to improve the client experience, specific to the inquiry and exception handling processes. You will be asked to lead work streams/projects across the CIB lines of business from assessment through articulation of recommendations and execution.
The role and responsibilities of Executive Director within the Operations Transformation Program will include the following:
Lead cross organizational transformation process re -engineering reviews, simplification of operating models, and standardizing or consolidating key activities that will reduce/eliminate interactions (inquiries and exceptions)
Lead stakeholder engagement, strategy development and formulation of business hypotheses
Identify innovative solutions by leveraging emerging technologies to solve complex business problems focused on automating responses/resolution to interactions
Apply change management approaches and methodologies to drive change to operating models, standardization of technologies and streamline operational processes
Partner with representatives from across the organization including Business, Finance, Operations and Technology groups, as well as potentially working with external partners (e.g., vendors, industry groups, etc)
Serve as a key leader in building and maintaining global relationships with stakeholder groups
Review and develop analysis of existing, cross-LOB interaction technology in order to drive convergence of similar tools
Influence direction using relevant data analysis, lead and deliver key aspects of implementation across the CIB
Interview senior stakeholders and document detailed understanding of business functions and process flows
Perform detailed data analysis, identify opportunities and obtain stakeholder buy-in, develop implementation plans
Seek opportunities to improve client experiences and establish market utilities
Skills Required / To Be Developed
In-depth knowledge of the CIB and multiple asset classes a plus
Degree educated with 5 -10 years banking experience in program management or product development
Experience leading large strategic process re-engineering programs across process, organization, and technology
Knowledge of CIB Operations groups, including Wholesale Payments, Markets and Securities Services as well as an understanding of Finance, Risk and Compliance teams
Knowledge of the financial services landscape, including risk and controls, utilities and vendors
Knowledge of and experience with Lean, Six Sigma and Agile
Experience leading Cross-Organization Transformation projects
Experience performing large scale data analysis and manipulation, leveraging common and niche tooling to model and surface key data interpretations
Experience developing target state vision, inclusive of technology and operating models
Working knowledge of new product development.
