My client is an international investor in private equity, infrastructure and real assets that invests on behalf of over 400 institutional investors, including public and private pension plans, insurance companies, endowments and foundations.
Purpose of Position:
This opportunity is for a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst to join the Accounts Payable team within the Finance function on a 1 year fixed term contract (with scope for the role to be made permanent in time)
The Senior Accounts Payable Analyst will be brought in to help the Accounts Payable team, with a primary focus on the Fund Accounts Payable function. Initially the role will involve assisting with current processes and helping clear the existing backlog of payments. After this initial period however, the individual will take the lead on more of a 'Project' role which is to look at the businesses existing processes and look at ways of improving them and making them more efficient, to help minimise future backlogs. This latter objective being the key purpose of this role.
To initially take an active role in the Fund AP process and help reduce existing payment backlogs.
Subsequently lead a project to look at existing processes and identify areas of improvement and efficiency and then to implement these changes, within the existing Concur platform used to process fund invoices.
To liaise internally with the Accounts Payable Manager on both current processes and any future changes to processes.
To liaise externally with Concur on any changes required to the existing Concur platform and to also liaise with our fund administrators to communicate any changes to them.
Knowledge and Experience Required
4-5 years AP experience within Private Equity/Financial Services is essential, so that the individual has knowledge and understanding of funds.
Prior experience using Concur preferable - not just processing invoices/expenses, but more importantly having an active role during the implementation stage of a Concur platform is desired.
Excellent attention to detail.
Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy in work and delivering results.
Ability to hit the ground running and generate ideas for improving existing processes.
Can work autonomously, whilst also being an excellent team player.
Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office including advanced Excel.
