We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Portfolio Services Manager - Compliance Transformation
The Portfolio Services Manager is responsible for portfolio management support activity provided by the Portfolio GPMO function within Global PMO
The job holder will be responsible for providing the day to day support to the Heads of GPMO, and Heads of Compliance Transformation by facilitating executive decision making support activities such as presenting insight and reporting and facilitating demand and supply management processes.
The jobholder is expected to exercise independent initiative in proactively overcoming obstacles to success, relying on general direction setting from the Head of Portfolio Management Services as well as feedback from the various stakeholders
Actively facilitate the ongoing portfolio prioritization process and support cross portfolio prioritization where necessary including supporting the Heads of Transformation and Heads of GPMO
Facilitate portfolio supply and demand supply and demand management process by forecasting and managing demand
The job holder will ensure transparency of change portfolio performance, milestones tracking, costs and benefits against baseline plan and provide commentary on variations in performance targets
Reviewing risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new processes. reviewing risks borne of non-compliance to project management standards, policies and best practices
Ensure all actions and decisions are documented and tracked to completion within agreed timelines and targets
Communicate to Transformation Support Services any needed changes to the portfolio prioritization and reporting frameworks prioritized by Global Business and Global Functions
Sound knowledge of Project Portfolio Management concepts will be highly preferred
Excellent understanding of Global Transformation frameworks, methodologies and best practice techniques
A thorough understanding of the purpose, culture and fundamentals of the Global Transformation
Excellent understanding and operational knowledge of Global Transformation toolset, specifically Clarity and other change delivery tools
Good understanding of HSBC Group structures, processes and objectives
Proven ability to facilitate effective portfolio management, with a strong understanding of risk and issue management, financial management, programme and portfolio planning, tracking and monitoring performance
Strong Understanding, analysing, interpreting and working with information both financial or non-financial and variance reporting
Experience in influencing a complex and diverse stakeholder environment
Solid experience in stakeholder management with impactful communication skills will be recommended
Previous background of working in a large organization and ability to work with individuals at different levels
Project Management and a strong relationship management with a focus on financial and budget requirements.
