About The Role Role Location: Melbourne Role Type: Full-time
As the Associate Director, Research & Analysis ('R&A') Financials Institutions Group ('FIG') Australia, you will be focused on the credit management of a portfolio of customers in the funds sector within FIG. Your primary responsibility include credit risk assessment (including leading due diligence meetings, risk analysis, legal documentation, product, operational risk, etc.) and maintaining a well-managed portfolio of customers.
You will require engagement with the global FIG CCM, Relationship and Risk teams, global markets sales, legal, operations and other product areas.
The role also requires strong customer focus with accountability to drive outcomes to meet customer requirements, without compromising bank standards and work in very close collaboration with Relationship Managers.
FIG is a global, high returning growth sector, with a focus on continuous improvement and ongoing client acquisition. The FIG R&A team are at the forefront of the credit process transformation continually looking to make real change to improve our efficiency and effectiveness.
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong credit risk assessment experience lending to financial institutions or funds, particularly Capital Calls/Subscription Finance facilities
Credit Analysis experience in the FIG sector is highly advantage and strong related credit experience will be considered
Extensive credit risk assessment experience
University educated, with an appropriate degree
Highly proficient in excel and other Microsoft Office tools
A strong interest in the Australian asset manager market. It's an advantage if you have p roduct (markets and balance sheet) and legal (Facility Agreements, ISDA, CSA etc) experience and expertise
