The intent of the Predictive modeller role is to enhance the capability of the Advanced Analytics within Decision Management team to be able to develop statistical segmentation, predictive models and machine learning algorithms that will help the Consumer Bank to establish longstanding relationships with customers by offering the right product to the right customer when they need and how they need. This can be achieved by refining the customer targeting process resulting in enhanced return on marketing dollars invested both at tactical and strategic level. The position holder will optimize all leads, offers, and propositions available; flexing the proposition appropriately to increase relevance to the customer (from available product benefits, incentives and associated risk) . The position holder will also play a leadership role in driving strategic pricing initiatives to meet business objectives. The scope of the customer actions/ behaviours to model will encompass but not limited to the following:
Identify the opportunities for New to Bank/ New to Product acquisitions
Early and portfolio activations to improve the health of the portfolio
Offer right price to the right customer - Customer & Product level pricing
Increasing the breadth and depth of customer relationship with the bank - cross-sell / up-sell models, segmentation etc
Portfolio Management to enhance spends and relevance of offers
Pre-emptive customer retention
Modelling the win-back initiatives
ACCOUNTABILITIES Understand the business' needs and convert business problems into analytical problems and devise elegant solutions for effective implementation Responsible for developing rigorous exploratory/ descriptive/ statistical/ machine learning/ segmentation solutions to predict the customer behaviour for respective portfolio actions Ongoing communication with the stakeholders on the analysis gating process Automate the model scoring process Recalibrate/ redevelop the models as and when needed Responsible to create state of the art documentation process right from scoping out the business problem to analytical solution to implementation process. Documents to meet the guidelines prescribed by the model governance committee Coordinate with Capability Development, Campaign Innovation and Management Insight teams within Decision Management for effective handover of solutions for running targeted campaigns and tracking in a production environment Develop guardrails to track performance of the models on an ongoing basis Identify new opportunities to analyse/ model/ segment customer behaviour that add bottom-line financial/ customer experience benefits to the Bank Determine and communicate the financial benefits from analytical insights / models in a business language to the key stakeholders Coordinate with remote analytics team from time to time to drive analytics agenda as and when required KEY REQUIREMENTS
University degree in Statistics/ Econometrics/ Mathematics or any other quantitative discipline
At least 7 + years experience in building Predictive Models, Response Models, Scorecards, Segmentation, Answer Tree algorithms (CHAID/ CART), Machine Learning algorithms
Prior work experience in handling high volume databases preferably in a data warehouse environment
Prior work experience on SAS at advance levels is a must. Exposure to other analytical tools like R, Python, Pyspark will be an added advantage.
Prior experience in financial services, banking and\or Marketing is desirable
Ability to multi-task across projects and should be able to work independently
Able to work collaborate well with other team members in a team environment
Prior work experience in agile project management will be an added advantage
Ability to work under demanding timelines and at the same time produce error free results
