JobDescription : The Role: As a product lead, this role is responsible for supporting the execution of S&P Global Market Intelligence's China strategy with a focus on credit risk analytics.
The Impact: This position will partner with stakeholders including global product management & development, APAC segment management, sales, operations, technology, content, and marketing teams to a) direct the execution on product development projects as parts of Market Intelligence's China strategy; b) assess and size market opportunities in China to feed into product roadmaps and commercial plans through market outreach and research; c) support go-to-market activities in partnership with segment management and other cross-functional teams; d) drive product positioning by developing and delivering thought leadership and other product marketing activities, e) be the local credit risk analytics and fixed income market expert in China.

Product management & development for Market Intelligence products focusing on credit risk analytics in China; collaborate with APAC segment product team, partner with sales, technology, operations, and marketing teams
Support the Credit Analytics and China Product Head in executing Market Intelligence's China strategy. Conduct market analysis, market outreach, gather competitor insights, aggregate and prioritize feedback from sales and translate these insights into actionable business cases
Direct product development projects for China initiatives. This includes producing detailed business requirements documents to guide the development of new products
Partner with APAC Segment Product team for market outreach and prioritization of initiatives
Partner with the commercial organization on identifying business opportunities
Conduct competitive intelligence research and market trend analysis, including market developments and offering gaps analysis across key competitors
Taking the lead on the localization of Market Intelligence products in Chinese, and support other regional projects, with a focus on the China market
Support product initiatives across Market Intelligence and act as a senior non-sales representative in China
Represent S&P Global in external events to promote the China product portfolio and S&P brand within China, develop Thought Leadership on Credit & Counterparty Risk trends in the market
Bachelor degree holder in Finance, Economics, or related quantitative subjects. Master, MBA or Doctoral degree desired;
Has minimum five years of market experience (either at a financial institution, a vendor, a corporate treasury department, or a consultancy) relevant to credit risk in areas such as risk management, product management, business development, and strategy;
Strong knowledge in credit risk analytics (PD/LGD/EAD) is a requirement; In-depth understanding of the fixed income markets in China is a plus;
Good knowledge of China institutional clients, their credit risk workflows, and their business culture; demonstrated network of contacts in Chinese capital markets
Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas effectively, strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese. Ability to explain complex analytical concepts in simple terms; excellent presentation abilities for external audiences
Excellent programming skills including Python or Matlab is a plus;
Familiarity with major data, research and analytics platforms in China, is desired.
