Role Title: Regulatory Specialist Balloon Street, Manchester Band - C3 Salary: £32,000 - £43,300 35 hours per week

This role sits with the bank's First Line Risk function, which ensure that first line activities are being applied consistently in accordance with agreed standards to mitigate material risk and drive fair outcomes.
The key purpose of the Regulatory Specialist role is to:
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to enable regulatory compliant product design and operational processes
Provide expert technical advice, ensuring positive customer outcomes and regulatory compliance
Analyse technical FCA regulations, and translate these into plain English, supporting business stakeholders to identify business impacts of new and existing regulatory requirements
Develop a proportionate regulatory footprint across the first line, providing specialist regulatory input and guidance to ensure appropriate customer and regulatory outcomes
Identify, develop and maintain guidance requirements to cover regulatory risks aligned to the support of Bank Policy and Control Standards
Review and provide conduct and regulatory approval of marketing collateral, financial promotions, customer journeys and product documentation such as Terms and Conditions and charging tariffs
Provide appropriate guidance and regulatory advice in respect of regulatory and business change projects to ensure the development of compliant, customer outcomes focused, commercially viable processes and propositions
Review and analyse regulatory change documents such as FCA Consultation Papers and Policy Statements, translating these into plain English and working closely with business areas to identify business impacts
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Detailed understanding of financial services products specialising in at least one of the product portfolios offered by the Bank
Strong regulatory knowledge specialising in at least one FCA Conduct of Business Sourcebook. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of CONC and CCA requirements
Good understanding of the latest regulatory requirements and their implications for policy, products and customer outcomes
Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills
Experience of analysing and advising on regulatory requirements in a financial services organisation
