The APAC Lead, Treasury Advisory Group manages multiple teams through other managers. In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. Citi's treasury advisory engagements encompass areas of treasury operations, working capital management, risk mitigation, treasury technology, applying knowledge of Finance and Accounting
Generate business through effective client advisory, including the following: engage client senior decision-makers of multinational companies and financial institutions; advise on improving performance of treasury activities; and recommend best practice solutions across treasury related considerations to position complex global treasury management and working capital solutions
Advise companies in assessing and addressing treasury challenges of operating in highly regulated emerging markets
Develop and communicate best practice analytical solutions for clients, considering tax and accounting implications of treasury structures, banking solutions, and cash pooling structures
Develop client solutions to address clients' global treasury and working capital priorities and Citi's revenue goals
Create and deliver thought leadership articles and presentations.
Support Citi's product competitiveness by providing advice to internal product/market management teams, including the following: identify client and competitor positioning trends, requirements gaps, and analyze market feedback for product / market management teams.
Define and quantify segment-based positioning, packaging and pricing opportunities to accelerate penetration and revenue growth.
Identify new product requirements through defining and validating key functionality needs; quantification of opportunity, positioning, and revenue models.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience
Consulting in financial services or treasury fields, or sales/relationship management in financial services
Master's degree in business/ finance / quantitative subject OR post-graduate professional qualification in finance field (e.g., Chartered/Certified Accountant, CFA, etc.)

Key to the TTS APAC strategy, this position leads a team to proactively elevate our strategic dialogue at senior client stakeholder levels - to gain mindshare for Citi as a trusted advisor and generate opportunities to capture new business flows. The incumbent will manage and develop team resources, as well as directly engage with target clients across current and emerging buying centers for TTS to deliver integrated client advisory that connect clients' expressed and unexpressed treasury needs and our businesses. For selected clients, they will join cross-functional teams and other Citi's Institutional Client Group (Markets and Banking) in defining and proposing solutions to address the opportunity, bringing end-to-end client-side expertise to differentiate Citi's value-add. They will also provide insights on client needs and buying behavior to Product teams to identify changing client demand to inform our solution packaging and innovation agendas. The incumbent will engage with Citi's target clients at the level of CFO, Treasurer, and other stakeholders including Corporate Finance, Procurement, Credit and Collections, Risk, and Product/Business Heads. They will deliver integrated client advisory across treasury (e.g. centralization of liquidity and risk), working capital management (e.g. financing growth, improving balance sheet efficiency), and digitization (e.g. building finance and banking infrastructure to support digital business expansion in new geographic markets, customer segments, and supply chains). The successful candidate will have senior-level experience in finance and treasury at a multinational, including hands-on experience in leading setup or transformation and execution in: - Treasury Operations, including Cash Management, In House Banking, Investing, Cash Forecasting, FX treading, and Liquidity Management; - Corporate Finance, including funding strategy and execution, subsidiary capitalization and financing, developing and managing risk policy and programs including currency, liquidity, and commodity risk; - Treasury strategy and solutions leadership with Business/Product Heads for new digital businesses, product launches, new market development, and eCommerce and alternative payments. Preference is for candidate with senior-level finance/treasury experience at a startup and/or fast paced, technology-enabled growth company. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a track record of strong execution. They should be highly motivated self-starters, able to influence and align seniors, peers and partners towards execution in a matrix organization with counterparts distributed across the globe. They must have demonstrated very strong oral, written and presentation skills, and financial modelling and analysis skills.
