Purpose of Job: Scotiabank is seeking a Senior Manager, to manage the Central Compliance Testing Oversight Team. The incumbent will w ork closely with the Global Compliance Testing Leads and provide oversight over the Compliance Testing activities to deliver consistent standards and best practices. This role will report into the Director - Global Compliance Testing within Enterprise Compliance Operations.
Leverage business process knowledge to develop, maintain and implement global standards / procedures for Compliance testing.
Provide oversight and coordinate the development of annual/multi-year Compliance test plan including change management.
Perform quality checks on the Compliance plans to ensure consistency, completeness and comprehensiveness of the plans submitted by the Business Unit Compliance groups.
Consolidate global annual/multi-year test plans and coordinate status reporting on Compliance Testing; Work with the Reporting group to facilitate Senior Management/CCRO reporting on annual planning and Compliance testing.
Develop and deliver training workshops and coordinate the delivery of internal or external training on Compliance testing to ensure that Compliance staff have the required skills to effectively execute the Compliance Testing Plan.
Implement / maintain tools and administrative processes on an on-going basis to support the Compliance Testing program. Ensure that the tools capture essential elements of the Compliance Testing and the underlying data has integrity.
Act as a key liaison and coordinate Compliance testing globally; Ensure Compliance units adequately coordinate testing across all the lines of defense.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to build partnerships and create a shared vision of excellence. Play a leadership role and effectively communicate deliverables to stakeholders; ensure deliverables are on-time and of high quality.

Education & Experience:
An undergraduate degree with professional designation /degree such as CPA, MBA
10-15 years of Compliance Testing/Auditing experience
Expert knowledge of MS Access, Excel, Visio, Word and Tableau
Proven track record of training / presenting to large stakeholder groups
Ability to write clearly and concisely
Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Results oriented and driven individual with a deep passion for developing a leading, best-in-class Compliance function
Enthusiastic leader, who can thrive in a dynamic team-oriented environment
Experience in GRC systems preferred
Fluency (writing and speaking) in Spanish language would be an asset
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel globally may be required.
Work may have high demands and volumes and unpredictable deadlines, time constraints, and pressure situations which occur frequently.
