The Financial Planning (FP) National Sales Office (NSO) and Sales Support (FPSS) teams are responsible for defining and executing against the 5-year strategy and growth aspirations of the TD Wealth Financial Planning business. The team provides central strategy & support for over 1,000 Financial Planners located both in TD's branches and over the phone, delivering:
5-year vision and leadership of key strategic initiatives for TD Wealth Financial Planning
Programs and initiatives to drive acquisition, client retention, sales effectiveness and legendary client experiences
Best-in-class centralized sales support for Financial Planners through a team of ~200 licensed Financial Planning Associates
Thought leadership and continuous delivery of improved end-to-end experiences for both Financial Planners and clients
Rapid growth of TD's emerging phone based Financial Planning offering
Reporting to the Senior Manager Sales Support Distribution, the Group Manager is accountable for day to day operation and management of the Financial Planning Sales Support team.
As a Group Manager you will lead and coach Team Managers and Financial Planning Associates to provide sales support to Financial Planners. The role involves working with our FP Business, Wealth Shared Services, FP National Sales and other key support areas with the ultimate goal to drive the growth of the FP business and deliver legendary client experiences.
Accountable for all aspects of people management including developing top talent, recruitment, training, career and personal development and performance management
Lead the transformation and change management of Financial Planning sales support
Proactively identify gaps and opportunities in our current operating model, to free up capacity in both sales support staff and FPs so they can focus on growth opportunities
Lead and coach team in delivering an exceptional client experience at every interaction
Monitor service delivery, implement action plans to ensure service deliverables are consistently achieved
Manage relationships with our clients, the Financial Planners, Senior Regional Managers and Regional Vice Presidents
Integrate activities with other Wealth Management areas to ensure a high level of service and productivity and manage key partner relationships
Create and foster a cohesive team and promote a positive work environment
Ensure timely communication of issues relevant to the team and encourage a good working relationship with other departments;
Manage resources and capacity for assigned programs and adjusts where necessary, re-prioritizing programs as required
Actively involved in developing and executing a strategic business plan, staff recruitment/development, leading projects/campaigns and managing the team to ensure LEI, TD Pulse and business department objectives are met
Ensure strong governance processes and controls are in place within the business to make sure all risks are identified, understood and managed effectively
