The Role Responsibilities
The purpose of the role is to provide Project Management to the dev ops teams, focusing building the banks pricing system and the testing and building of the financial markets analytic suite in an iterative agile fashion. The joiner will join a high performing team delivering cross-asset class in-house technology to the FM business. The role involves working closely with senior business stakeholders such as COO and compliance, front office developers, bank-wide standards teams, analytic group, the ecommerce team and various support teams throughout the organization. The initial assignments will involve the rollout of containerization across the analytic and pricing systems and will involved working with the analytic group, front office development, infrastructure, and eCommerce teams.
Exposure and working with developers/devops on cutting-edge technology stack including Kubernettes/Docker container package and deployment, Apache Kafka, Apache Cassandra/Datastax, Hazelcast, OpenRules and React/TypeScript.
The job purpose consists of:
Building strong, effective relationships with both the business and technology teams, across global offices
Working with development teams to deliver technology deliverables applying agile development methodologies
Collaborating with development and infrastructure teams for release management and rollouts, cross-team coordination to arrange releases and handling additional tasks including support groups and vendor discussion following bank standards
Collaborating with stakeholders to solve business problems by proposing relevant, innovative solutions
Delivering functional consistency across the projects by influencing technology design decisions
Translating and documenting business and technical requirements
The applicant should have some experience in both PM and BA roles
Understand requirements and translate into quality technology solutions
Pro-actively engage, manage and build strong relationships with both business and technology stakeholders
Take ownership of technology deliveries from high level requirement through development, testing and deployment
Provide on-going support to the technology teams as required e.g. authoring / reviewing test cases, closing out open issues / questions, managing change request process etc.
Identify risks and issues early, plan mitigating steps and communicate these to stakeholders in a timely manner
Work closely with business users, other project and programme managers and technology stakeholders to ensure all stakeholders are fully engaged and expectations managed
Delivery focused, committing to specific tasks and ensuring these and the overall projects deadlines are met

Delivery of individual tasks and overall projects on time and of a high quality
Quality of delivery, documentation and process
Ensuring projects pass internal audits and reviews
Post project implementation reviews and alignment of project deliverable to measurable exit criteria
Our Ideal Candidate
Agile methodology experience a must-have (drive sprint rituals towards delivery, develop self-organizing team culture, write concise user stories with acceptance criteria where needed, etc.)
Experience in infrastructure rollouts and planning, understanding latest technologies (mentioned in the job purpose section), release management and production support coordination a strong plus
Experience and understanding of regulatory and control asks across multiple global regulations, front office pricing ,market data (pre-trade), testing and building analytics a plus
Ability to lead cross-departmental teams to delivery - without direct reporting line
Ability to demonstrate cross-functional skills such as test case preparation a plus
Ability to take ownership of business requirements and manage them through to delivery.
Ability to work proactively, independently and display strong initiative
Technical background would be very beneficial, understanding of (ideally functional) programming a plus
Experience in front office risk systems and e-trading technology a plus
Derivatives knowledge across asset classes is a plus
Ability to accurately translate and document business needs into functional requirements and produce quality documentation
Quantitative finance understanding, experience working with analytics libraries and pricing models is a plus
Strong communication and presentation skills with an excellent standard of English (written and spoken)
