The Global Clearing business resides within the Prime Servicessegment of J.P. Morgan's Corporate and Investment Bank. The business providesclearing and intermediation services across listed and OTC derivative products.The unit has a diverse client base, with representation across hedge funds,asset managers, insurance companies, banks and broker-dealers.
The Global Clearing Treasury team sits within the business and istasked with managing the businesses overall liquidity, investments and advisingon client pricing. The team consists of 15 members based in New York, Londonand Singapore.
Responsibilities of members of the Global Treasury teaminclude:
Overseethe liquidity of the business (e.g. currency exposures, liquidity buffers,collateral optimisation and borrowing needs)
Developa deep understanding of CCP and inter-affiliate margin call process andmethodology
Strategize,develop and implement new initiatives to optimize client and firm cash andsecurities
Understand,synthesize and assess all aspects of the teams revenue and costs (includingCapital/default fund contributions, corporate allocations, client pricing andinvestment returns)
Buildand maintain relationships with key business stakeholders, Central ClearingCounterparties, 3 rd party banks and various investment sales teamsand desks
Partnerwith Product and Technology to implement strategic and regulatory driveninitiatives
Developand leverage subject matter expertise in clearing house rules, risk managementpractices (i.e., portfolio margining) and operational flows
Pro-activelymanage future events which may result in large liquidity spikes and ensure thatoptimal liquidity arrangements are put in place to reduce firm risk andmaximise Net Interest Income
Consistentlyseek new opportunities to enhance Net Interest Income or further enhance thecontrol environment
