This position plays an important role within the Profitability team. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Profitability, this person will be a key contributor to help build out a comprehensive profitability and analytics function. The ideal candidate will assume a high level of ownership, be a self-starter, analytically minded with a strong focus on detail, committed to high quality deliverables, and possess the strong ability to communicate horizontally and vertically. Previous financial services experience required, knowledge of, and experience with, profitability methodologies is preferred.
Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting that will drive proactive insight into the profitability of the enterprise
Manage, update, and enhance underlying data processes between G/L, costing, and management reporting systems
In conjunction with other groups across FP&A identify client products and activities that drive enterprise wide and business specific expenses
Design methodologies to differentiate between fixed and variable costs; determine unit costs associated with products and activities
Build and maintain effective internal networks across the organization, ensuring good flow of information and building the reputation of the Profitability function
Collaborate with the other department personnel to support overall department goals and objectives
Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Participate in corporate initiatives projects and ensure that finance tasks and activities are addressed in a timely manner
Perform other specific duties and responsibilities and special projects as required or assigned by FP&A Management
3-5 years of finance experience, including management of financial reporting and/or financial analysis processes
Strong project management and execution focus; extremely organized and effective at time management
Ability to prioritize critical work and manage expectations, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth oriented environment
Interact well with a variety of constituencies
Strong quantitative and bank analytical experience and financial modeling skills
Must be able to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies
Strong work ethic, good judgment, initiative and attention to detail
Bachelor's Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Accounting or Finance
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with RapidABC, Axiom EPM, and Hyperion Essbase a plus
