To work in GBSU/FTB/EUR - Structured Finance Middle Office in London Covering 8 business areas, Power, Infrastructure, Mining, Oil & Gas Reserve Base Finance, Leverage Finance, TMT, Real Estate and Strategic Acquisition Finance. Summary of the key purposes of the role Key objectives comprise:-
Handling various amendments/waivers to portfolio transactions
Responsible for producing various research papers, as required
Ensuring formalities at closing are correctly adhered to and data correctly reflected in systems
Managing RWA parameters of transactions and ensuring they are inputted correctly into the systems
Updating internal project ratings using Starweb model
Ensure covenants on transactions are correctly inputted on systems and received in a timely manner Various ad hoc tasks & reports, papers, as requested Summary of responsibilities
Analyses historical financial statements
Report on the construction progress or operating
performance of the projects
Identify industry trends
Run sensitivity analysis on financial forecasts and models
Assess country, market and environmental risk
Prepare and process waivers and amendments to loan documentation
Track and monitor compliance with financial and information covenants provided under the loan documentation and inputting them into the banks system
Liaise with other departments within the bank (front office,
back office, RISQ etc.) as well as external contacts (Borrowers other banks, advisers ie legal technical and insurance.)
At the end of the internship, the candidate can expect, at the least, to have enhanced his/her credit analytical skills and interpersonal skills as well as have a better understanding of financing structures in respect of Structured Finance.
