Dimensionals portfolios are structured to reliably and efficiently deliver the dimensions of expected return. Dimensional is also focused on serving the clients who own the portfolios. The Portfolio Management team is responsible for the effective execution and ongoing refinement of Dimensionals investment process. The Portfolio Management team is also responsible for the effective communication of Dimensionals philosophy, process and results to clients, prospective clients, consultants, and other key decision makers.
This position will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day needs of the fixed income Portfolio Management desk and investment staff. The role will be based in our Austin, TX headquarters and reports to a senior member of the Fixed Income team.
Propose and develop process improvements to existing business processes.
Perform analysis and coordinate responses for Corporate Action events.
Oversee database updates for daily trades, data changes, and company eligibility.
Facilitate the daily foreign exchange trading process.
Frequently communicate substantial information to Portfolio Managers, Traders, global offices, and custodian banks.
Manage cash forecasts for multiple portfolios.
Perform portfolio reconciliation.
Research individual fixed income securities to determine suitability for investment.
Conduct portfolio reporting, including returns, market value calculations, and characteristics.
Participate substantively in special projects including portfolio characteristics analysis, sample portfolio construction, and ad hoc data requests.
Bachelors degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA is required.
At least one year of financial services industry experience or at least two years of related technical experience.
Must be detail oriented, organized, highly motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to absorb and apply information from formal and informal learning experiences.
Strong communications skills (verbal and written).
Interest in financial markets.
Technical experience with Python, SQL, and/or VBA.
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship at any time.
